Ruy Barbosa på Commons

Rui Barbosa de Oliveira (født 5. november 1849 i Salvador, Bahia, død 1. mars 1923 i Petrópolis) var en brasiliansk jurist, forfatter og politiker.

Barbosa var finansminister i den provisoriske regjeringen i Den første brasilianske republikk etter revolusjonen i 1889.

Han fikk stor anerkjennelse gjennom sitt folkerettslige arbeid, og ble i 1921 medlem av De forente nasjoners faste domstol for mellomfolkelig rettspleie i Haag, Nederland.

Til ære for Ruy Barbosa ble byen Orobó, med vel 30 000 innbyggere (pr. 2013), i delstaten Bahia omdøpt til Ruy Barbosa i 1922.
